Paan-E-Paneer [RECIPE]

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for the amazing response to the best paneer recipe contest. I received many good entries, and the winning recipe is 'Paan-E-Paneer' - by Ruchi Khanna. Congratulations!

Here is what Ruchi has to say about herself and the recipe

".... My name is RUCHI KHANNA, I am a home-maker.
I think my recipe is unique, because you don't get to see a paan made from other than the respective leaf. This is an innovative and an easy recipe. And it's appearance makes it very attractive too. And yes, it is very tasty too! ..."

Below is Ruchi's recipe. Do try it out and let us know how it turns out.

1 Cup fresh paneer
3 tbsp condensed milk
A pinch of kesar and cardamom powder

For the filling:
2 tbsp chopped mix dry fruits
2 tbsp gulkand [made from rose petals sand sugar]
Silver foil to wrap the pan (chandi ki barrk)
Some chopped pecans to garnish

Heat the paneer in a non stick pan and add condensed milk to it.
Cook on low flame until the mixture is thick.
Add kesar and cardamom powder and mix well.
Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool.
Divide the mixture into 8 portions. Take one portion in your hand and spread it well. Place 1 tsp gulkand in the centre of paneer and fold it in such a way that it takes the shapes of a paan.
Wrap it in a silver foil and sprinkle some chopped pecans(garnish).
